Trading Terms

Trading Terms and Conditions for Your Portsmouth Plumbers

1. General Terms These trading terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the supply of plumbing services by Your Portsmouth Plumbers (“we,” “our,” or “us”) to the customer (“you”). By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

 

2. Payment Terms

​

  • Payment Due Date: Payment for services is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments via bank transfer and/or cash unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Late Payments: Any late payments will incur an interest charge of 5% per month, starting from the due date.

 

3. Pricing

  • All prices quoted are based on the scope of work agreed upon at the time of the estimate.

  • If additional work is required or unforeseen circumstances arise, we will provide a revised quote for approval before proceeding.

  • All prices are subject to VAT, unless otherwise stated.

 

4. Estimates and Quotations

​

  • All estimates are provided in good faith, but may be subject to change based on the actual work required.

  • Quotations are fixed for the duration of the agreed work, unless additional work or materials are needed.

 

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

​

  • If you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance.

  • Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee of 25% of the agreed price or £75, whichever is greater.

 

6. Warranty and Guarantee

​

  • We provide a 12-month warranty on all labour and a guarantee on the materials used (subject to manufacturer terms and conditions).

  • Should any issue arise that is covered by the warranty or guarantee, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will address the matter promptly.

 

7. Health and Safety

​

  • Your Portsmouth Plumbers adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations while providing our services.

  • Any hazardous conditions that may pose a risk to our staff or your property will be addressed before we begin any work.

 

8. Liability

​

  • We are fully insured for public liability and indemnity. However, we will not be responsible for any indirect or consequential damages arising from our work.

  • We advise that you ensure your property is adequately insured during the course of our work.

 

9. Customer Responsibilities

​

  • You are responsible for ensuring that access to the property is available and safe for our staff to perform the work.

  • Any instructions provided by you should be clear and correct; we are not liable for errors caused by incomplete or incorrect information.

 

10. Confidentiality

​

  • We are committed to protecting your privacy and confidentiality. Your personal data will only be used for the purpose of providing services and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.

 

11. Dispute Resolution

​

  • In the event of a dispute, we encourage open communication to resolve any issues. Should an issue not be resolved, we will work with an independent mediator before resorting to any legal action.

 

12. Governing Law

​

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
